My youngest daughter and her boyfriend took us to lunch a few months ago and they chose Applebee's (options are limited where they live). It was well.....Applebee's. A couple of weeks later, we were visiting them and we took them to Chili's. I hadn't been there in years, but I figured it couldn't be worse than Applebee's, right? I was wrong. By almost every metric (Food, service, cleanliness, etc.), Applebee's was clearly better, and Applebee's was nothing more than it had always been. That's how far Chili's has fallen.
