Certain houses come with wheels underneath so you can move them from place to place. Some folks like to fancy up those houses by puttin fancy wheels on em.

I spend about 7% and that is on rent. I contemplated getting a single wide and renting it out later but really like my apartment and the view.

I'm guessing that living in San Francisco, your percentage is going to be significantly higher than most people's. It's got to be rough out there in that regard.

lol. I wish. I'm up high and can see downtown and the river (at a distance). I'm going to renew the lease for another rear and get something next year.

Based on this thread, there's a good chance my taxes on the house this year are more than what you pay in total cost. Not sure if that is awesome or really sucky. Maybe both.
The fact that he doesn't need to live in a big fancy house to show off to people is pretty impressive. I'd love to have a cabin on the river and work in my industry.

Altogether, I'm down about $6,500+ every month due to real estate.
On the upside, within the next year, I'm going to drop below $500,000 remaining on the primary mortgage for my 1400 sq. ft. house in Los Angeles County. Life's good.
