Walking out of my last day on medicine wards. Possibly the most soul sucking, joyless experience I've had to endure in medicine. No more calls at 3 in the morning for diet orders, no more rounding on 10 patients for 5 hours, no more dealing with STAT lab orders taking 3 hours to be drawn, no more waiting weeks for patients that no longer need inpatient care to be placed, no more ordering esoteric labs no one knows how to interpret due to an attending having an academic curiosity. I refuse to believe anyone enjoys inpatient internal medicine, it's like the cubicle work of the medicine world.

-customer appreciation today at the hardware store i work at. Handing out free t-shirts and popcorn, so there will be a lot of popcorn pieces to sweep up later.
-flying up to Joplin, Mo. for my final round of interviews on Thursday! Flight leaves Eastwood at 5 am, and I'll be back in Cstat by 11 pm the same day. Going to be a long one for sure.

-Finally slept in! No one in the house moved until about 10:30 and dang it we all needed to sleep.
-Doing an expense report this morning and typing up a monthly report. Easy stuff.
-Oven roasting a TriTip for lunch. Marinated it last night and I'm pretty excited about it. Used to grill these all the time in Oregon.
-Beef Ribs on the pit about 12:30-1:00. Rubbed salt on them last night and going with pepper, garlic powder, cumin, onion powder, and coffee grinds as my rub today.
-Also smoking a pork loin, asparagus, and some stuffed jalapeos.

Hibiscus are interesting. My wife has a greenhouse and some are 6ft tall.
