The clip from Bernie is great. I think I saw most or all of that movie but I don't recall that scene. At any rate, that guy doesn't sound like he's from Carthage.

FWIW, I think the panhandle is great, and I'd live there before Dallas, Houston or Austin... But that's just me. Murca.

Man don't even call the perfect little city ugly and people get all bent out of shape.

I have been in Austin 7 years now, and it's great but vastly overrated. Drives me crazy to hear anyone gush about how amazing Austin is. This city has tons of problems and no clear plan to fix them.

But, the downtown area is nice, and the hill country is fantastic. I'd still rather have Ft. Worth over Austin.

My regions would be
West
Panhandle
North
East
Central
Gulf
South

By highways.

Everything east of 45 is east Texas.
Everything west of 35 is west Texas.
Anything in the middle is central Texas.

Everything north of 20 is north Texas.
Everything south of 10 is south Texas.
Anything in the middle is central Texas.

-West of 35 is the Wild West (except south of I-10, which is Mexico)
-Panhandle is basically Kansas/Great Plains
-Between 35 & Hwy 59/I-69 is Texas. East of 59/69 is the Louisiana/the South
