What would you choose between the two and why?

Damn near everyone at the office has Apple products for tying into our servers. I'm the freak that stuck to Microsoft and I typically have less problems (I do have an Iphone as a work phone though).

That said, it depends on your purpose, what platform you are already on for integration, and how comfortable you are with technology.

I have a surface and I love it. It is pretty much a PC and let's you do everything you can do on a regular PC. However, it sucks as a tablet. It is not as intuitive as an iPad when it comes to just being a browsing device. The iPad has come a long way and the new iPad pro is pretty snappy. It will probably replace my Pro in a couple of years.

Another thing to consider might be a 2-in-1 laptop if you actually need computing power. I have a HP Spectre x360 that I am really liking now that it is all setup and tied to my 8" Dell Venue Pro.
