It's a running joke that I had 4 mothers growing up. 15,17, and 24 years older. And now that I'm older I can appreciate it. They are the best.

Our kids are 7.5 years apart. We always planned on waiting until the first was in school before having the second in daycare. Only one daycare bill, the oldest would be able to help out more. A year of cancer treatment and then waiting another year and getting the go ahead pushed it back a little father. My daughter is beside herself casing for and playing with her little brother. And he's finally old enough to play with her, bouncing on her, etc. I think the age gap is fine.

I'm one of four, I'm the oldest, the youngest is 12 years younger. I started college when he started kindergarten! That was kinda different.

My sibling is slightly more than 5 years older. I was in kindergarten when they were in 5th grade. What do you want to know?

Husband and his brother are 5 years apart.

My youngest brother is 11 years younger than me, he is 9 years from the next closest sibling.

Seemed to work out just fine in both cases. Though husband and his brother aren't super close, and my little brother is a spoiled little ****. But other than that..

If they play together well I guess. My son has been wanting a sibling so that is good.

I'm 6.5 years younger than my brother. We really didn't know each other until after I became an adult.

My 2nd and 3rd kids are.

They are both boys. When the now 3 year old was a baby, the older boy was sweet. Now they fight and play like brothers. The older likes having someone to pick on and the younger likes an older kid to play with and memic.

5 years btwn my sis and I. 6 years btwn my bro and I. Parents didn't want more than one kid in college at a time. We never had loving feelings btwn siblings in our youth, but we are pretty close now.

There is 9 years between my oldest stepdaughter and my daughter and 7 years between my youngest stepdaughter and my daughter. The best part about the age difference is that the older kids are a HUGE help to me with the little one. The worst part is that they sometimes don't want her to play with them because she messes up their stuff, or they treat her like a living doll and she gets annoyed at being dressed up and bossed around. But overall I wouldn't change the age difference.

Sucks balls

Five years between my two daughters. Older one was very protective of her little sister when they were kids, but they did not have much of a relationship beyond that. As adults, however, they are great friends.

I have a friend that has nearly 20 years between her and her next youngest sibling...her parents were almost 50 when they had her, so it was a bit of a surprise

Both of her nieces and her nephew are older than her.

My grandmother was pregnant with my dad at the same time as his sister was pregnant with his nephew. Fun times.

Well...it was a blended family. My 2 kids (I had custody), late wife's 3 kids (I adopted them), and her brother's 4 girls (meth sucks).

But the gaps between them were:

1.5 yrs
1.5 yrs

Got them all together when youngest was 2.5 y/o and oldest was 11.5...

Fun times.

Now the oldest is 29, so I got them all raised and out.

Of course, I only THOUGHT I had a lot of kids. You Win.
