So glad Texas beat that ***** ass Cali team. I don't know if I've ever seen a more unlikable little league team.

This is their player "accidentally" kicking the Texas first baseman.

The elbow the 1st baseman threw in the 1st inning was worse IMO....i give that kid the benefit of the doubt since the base was jacked up

I tuned in only for extra innings, so I missed the elbow.

But the kid is clearly winding up for a kick before his other foot even touches the unstable first base.

California pulled off more than one "incident" at first base.

Glad those little *****es lost.

And the announcers were ******* for not calling them out on it. Kept making excuses.

The way his right leg wsa following through, it wasn't for a step that turned into a misstep due to the bag. It was an intentional kick.

Not only was it totally bush league, it looked like the Cali player could have seriously hurt his ankle the way it hit the bag.

The LLWS has no resemblance of baseball any longer.

If you enjoy softball, you'll enjoy the LLWS. Otherwise, it is pretty much unwatchable for me.

What did the announcers have to say about that? That kid's coach should have ripped him a new one.

The cali coaches were, at the very least, ok with it. At most, they actually encouraged their team to be dirty.

Karma got him though. He was bawling when he gave up the walkoff homerun.

I'm certainly not going to defend the kid. It was chicken-sh.., but he is just 12-13. Hopefully his coaches, parents, or both will use it to teach the value of sportsmanship.

I would bet he learned that move from either his parents or coaches.

C'mon, sports are psychological as much as physical. Part of winning is establishing in your opponent's mind that you are bigger, stronger, meaner, and more ruthless than they are.

Getting worked up about a little league baseball game full of 12-13 year old kids. Damn, the offseason sucks.

Didn't one coach in the softball LLWS shave runs in order to ensure another team was knocked out, have the committee realize this and make them play a 1 game win or go home game, and then have his team lose to the team they wanted to knock out? I believe so.

If that were my kid I would have dragged his ass off the field right then and there. I think the embarrassment of you father dragging you off the field by your ear on national TV would be good for this kid.

But the reality his is that his dad is most likely a giant db.

How so? I'm not disagreeing just wondering why you and others say that.

For me, it is 3 main things:

  • Allowing older kids
  • Small fields (fences and bases)
  • Closed bases

The timing of plays on the infield is much closer to softball than baseball. The swings that get balls out of the park are a joke. You shouldn't be able to slap-swing at a ball and hit an opposite field home run.

They are allowing select level kids to play but they aren't adjusting the setting for their talents.

If you can set aside the need for it to look and play like baseball, it can be an interesting event to watch. However, if you want it to resemble the real game, it is a pretty big let down.

Eh, I pay mainly for the game breakdowns and practice videos, but I see your point.

I have yet to watch a LLWS game and not see a kid cry.

I don't believe the kid kicking the 1st baseman was on purpose.
Yeah the 1st baseman looks to throw his elbow behind him.
But both these kids immediately start crying like they just received life threatening pain.
Yeah I understand thy are 12.. But damn.. Toughen up a bit.
And I cannot even comment on the kids that cry on way back dugout after a strikeout or pitchers crying on mound.

More upset that for the past couple weeks, llws has been prime time on ESPN rather than on espn2. And the announcers they have are trash. It's like watching Jared fogle talk to an 8th grader
