My company doesn't observe a holiday for Independence Day when it falls on a weekend so I'll be working.

It's a good thing this is otherwise a great place to work.

Company is honoring tomorrow for the holiday, however I work in a 24x7 department and if it's your normal day to work you are expected to be here. I'll come in and take my double time and a half for working the holiday.

Not only do I not have to work tomorrow (I work 4-10s, so I'm off every Friday), but I get 10 hours of holiday time to take later. AND, since the 4th also falls on a regular day off, I get another 10 hours of holiday time for Saturday!
