I enjoy being married, but sometimes there are days when you get home and just wish the house was empty, though I'm not sure if marriage or kids creates this feeling.

When all you want to do is install a new water heater and then your spouse says, "Hey, while you're at it, we should open this wall and put some French doors in. Oh, and we really need a laundry room, too. Oh, and we also need to take half of this wall down and put in new cabinets and countertops." And then your $1000 water heater project turns into a total reconstruction of half of your house.

Marriage is easy as long as she's willing to tell you how to make her happy.

If you take it a step further and have kids, THAT is when the highs are higher, and the lows can be really painful.
