Because these days they're deluted and pointless. It's like having a ceremony for folks announcing they're boyfriend and girlfriend. No real permanence since we all know it will last 10-15 years tops.

How can someone not have fun at a wedding? Unless they aren't serving alcohol or you brought a boring date, I don't see how a normal individual is unable to have fun when surrounded by friends, alcohol, and hotties you've never met before. I'd go to a wedding every other weekend if I could (and I basically am for the next 4 months)
