I realize I could take this to the fitness or technology forums but I figured I'd get more traffic here, and also more well-rounded answers.

My husband is recently consumed with the apple health app on his phone. I was looking into getting him a Fitbit, or similar health tracker to go with it, but it seems a little unnecessary?

I think he would like it though, I'm looking at the Fitbit pulse, anyone have a better suggestion or device they prefer? TIA

I have a Fitbit Flex. Have some healthy competition going with my wife & friends (number of steps, calories burned, active minutes, etc.). I've dropped fifteen pounds this year so it's definitely helped.
