Planning a surprise birthday weekend for the sister, we already have a house booked in downtown Fredericksburg, but are currently looking for suggestions on a limo service for touring the wineries & suggestions on which ones to go to, and which ones to avoid. Also, dining recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I know there's a thread for this, and I've read part of it, but I can't seem to find it today (big surprise). If anyone can direct me to that, it would be great!

We were impressed with Rancho Pointe when we made a last minute trip up there a few years back.

We're thinking of hitting 2-3 when we get into town that Friday, as many as we can on Saturday, and then a couple on our way out of town Sunday.

William Chris is great. Knowledgeable folks out there. Pretty small place so not a big social experience like...

Grape Creek. They're huge and will likely have tons of people just hanging out inside and out. Plenty of room to spread out and spend some time there. You can do a short tour of the winery which was pretty interesting.

4 Points is just a tasting room for a handful (4 maybe?) different labels. No vineyard or much to do other than stand at a counter and taste wine. Still good though.

-Hilmy -- Love the dogs (Bella and Simon??) that are there.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, keep them coming! I'm working on the spreadsheet tonight; and will find a way to share it
With this group we unfortunately have a wide range of wine drinkers, (two of which still think all wine should be served cold), several of us know, and enjoy good wine. But the main point of the weekend is to have some fun.
And for all the rule one reqs, this rookie doesn't even know how to post a pic of the wonderful ladies that will be in on this weekend.
