the guy even had a linguist on one day that said the commonly accepted pronunciation was gif as in gift. he got all bent out of shape

All of the above, and

"drowth" instead of drought (say "drowt"). I don't understand that one at at all. The t does not come before the h so drought (and similar words) cannot end in "th."

The hundreds of people on this board who type alot instead of a lot.

As in "A lot of people on this board do not know how to spell a lot and instead think alot is correct"


All you have to do is look at the auto correct and see alot is wrong........it comes up in big red underline.........
