there are several from my generation of arcade-goers, but they're mostly newer so it's probably not what you're thinking of. i remember hitting up this one a lot

they had a few sequels i think that made update the graphics over the years, i did play those too. probably no the original though

Back in the 80s, if you went to school in HISD and made all A's or had perfect attendance, you got to go to Astroworld during a school day in May. One year, maybe 5th grade or so, myself and 3 friends went to the arcade and played Gauntlet for 4-1/2 hours.

I definitely knew some people in my neighborhood that played it a lot, D&D was pretty popular board game. . I tried to a couple of times but I never got into it. I knew a couple dudes who even got dressed up when they played, it was a different time I guess.
