apparently it was rented to someone but it wasn't supposed to be, and they took pictures before their room was switched

WTF is up with the floor? I am curious if that was finished to look like that or if they tore up carpet and other crap and that is how it ended like that.

The picture on the wall is most likely Jay Comeaux. He's an LSU alum, and the odds are slim that they would have a S&B society.

Tine Zaza has several 'theme' rooms & suites as is, is this just another one of them?

If it is it's not one of the ones listed on the website.

since when does a jail have skulls on the wall and a picture of Jay Comeaux on the wall???

and if it was a Hard Times theme room, why not be listed on the website like any others?

there is some cover up going on here

We called ZaZa to see what's up, and spokeswoman Kyra Coots said she'd get right back to us. But she didn't. Perhaps she got sucked up into the mysterious room? The pics don't correspond to any of the theme rooms featured on ZaZa's site. So we're sorta puzzled. And we want to rent this room really, really bad...

Update: We just heard from Coots...

Coots told us that this is in fact one of the hotel's theme rooms -- it's called Hard Times, and it's a play on a jail experience. (We'll note again it's not mentioned on the website, which lists and describes the other "theme" rooms.)

While it's a "compact" room, it has one of the hotel's largest balconies, which overlooks the pool area, she said. (The other side of the hotel features another compact theme room, called Ship's Cabin, which resembles a yacht and also overlooks the pool). She says neither room is secret or kept from being rented.

Coots also told us that, at one point, the company's president lived in the Hard Times room for two months, five days a week. We asked about the portrait of the distinguished, mustachioed gentleman, and she said she'd look into it. (She's also checking into the claims made by the guy who posted the pics in the first place).

why would a spokesperson not know the details of that room on the first call?

Patrick Bateman would never live in a place like that.

My sister and I stayed there once last year. We got drunk and wandered around the hotel, finding open doors to hallways and such. That place is weird as **** and I love it. Such a cool spot.

And I have no idea where else to put this but the server at the Indian food restaurant of which I am currently eating in Dallas asked where I was from and then responded, "Oh, Houston, yeah! Houston is full of hip-hop, right?"
