Jonathan Tybur just misses a second swim finishing 17th in the 100 Breast with a BIG lifetime best of 1:01.55.
Did Bratton scratch the 400?
They are doing B flights for the longer races. Dropped almost 3 seconds for a lifetime best of 4:50.50. First 5 heats are in the A Flight, remaining heats swam after all the A Flight prelims are done.
Team and coaches most consistently under-rated in the country. Great preparation produces great results. Congratulations and good luck to finalists Sarah, Sarah and Bethany and all the other swimmers who represent the Aggies well.

No, she missed by one spot. Lots more very real opportunities coming the next seven days for several of our girls though.

Any idea why Henry scratched from the event?
To focus on the 200 free semi. Top six can make the team because of the 800 free relay. However she finished ninth this evening in semis.
When does Bethany swim again?
She just swam right after they went off the air. She finished second in the first of two 200 IM semis and qualified fifth overall for tomorrow night's final.
Bethany just swam - she advanced to the 200 IM finals tomorrow.

Whew!!! She is ok and in the final with fastest time!
I think DQ of Adams was over turned.

That was from this morning's race. It was overturned w/in 5 minutes. Complete blown call by the race official - even NBC announcers were talking about how bad it was.

On her last turn, the judge thought it was illegal due to pushing off with her body facing up as opposed to facing downwards. She was actually sideways with a slight tilt downwards.

AFAIK, on the Fly, it is just past vertical towards the breast, but the swimmer has until the feet leave the wall, so I'm interested to see what the Judge thought they saw.

Galat 3rd in 200 Breast. Missed the team by .14.
The announcers yesterday were rooting for Galat. So close.
Disappointing from a finish standpoint (twice now) but not from a performance/time standpoint. She's had the meet of her life.
Bummer for Galat, missing Rio by one spot in three events.
Disappointed for Galat, thrilled for Adams. Got to admit also very thrilled that Simone Manuel from Sugarland made the team. Used to chat with her Mom (fellow swim parent) during TAGS years ago when my daughter used to swim...
Another 3rd place for Lisa Bratton by just .39 in the 200 back.
Still an incredible meet overall. A lot to look forward to with basically the entire NCAA group coming back, plus new recruits and a couple of Olympic redshirts returning for the women and the men really getting things going on the recruiting side and some really good returners as well.

Watched these almost every night. VERY EXCITING. These guys and girls are incredible.
Congratulations to all our swimmers! Their success in the pool is admirable, and they make us very proud to be Fightin' Texas Aggies. It will be a joy to watch them continue to excel in athletics and in life.
