Regarding Stephanie Malherbe, I don't think South Africa has announced their final roster for the Olympics for soccer. The roster is limited to 18 plus 4 alternates, and the last I saw they had cut the roster to 29. However, South Africa played The Netherlands twice a few weeks ago and Stephanie started both matches playing over 130 minutes total, so that is a really good sign. South Africa is playing the USA in Chicago July 9, so if she plays in that match that will also be a really good sign. Good luck to her.

Simone Facey finished 5th in the 100m at Jamaican Trials and will go to Rio as part of their relay pool. Still has the 200 this weekend.

Not an Aggie, per se, but local Consol graduate (and Arkansas alumnus) Duncan Phillips will run in the 1500. I am looking forward to that race. I think it should be a good un.

I think she was picked for a USA Select Team, not the actual Olympic Team. The group she is playing with will scrimmage with and practice against the Olympians (unless something changed very recently).
