As the landscape of college sports underwent historic change, one of the more dramatic developments was Texas A&M’s move from the Big 12 Conference to the Southeastern Conference. Initially criticized for disloyalty and dismissed as a serious contender in its new conference, A&M is now seen by many as perhaps the clear winner in the shuffle that reordered college sports. SEC Ready tells that story through the eyes of those who lived it, including former Texas A&M president R. Bowen Loftin, current and former members of the A&M System Board of Regents, and a host of media members and school and conference insiders.
SEC Ready is the first feature-length film produced by TexAgs Films, the video production division of TexAgs. For over a year, the production crew traveled the country conducting interviews, capturing sights and sounds, and piecing together this intricate saga of politics, personalities, and football. The result is a 90-minute documentary that tells a compelling story about sports, culture, and progress with appeal beyond the A&M fan base.
