An NCBWA Stopper of the Year finalist as a junior, Texas A&M right-hander Clayton Freshcorn was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 19th round of the 2026 MLB Draft. Freshcorn posted 12 saves with a 2.82 ERA and 1.05 WHIP as A&M's top reliever this spring.

The Texas A&M baseball team began its quest toward season number two in the SEC on Friday afternoon, working out in temperatures in the mid-30s. Gabe Bock was there to visit with Coach Childress and players.
