No. 14 Women's Basketball Earns 55-48 Win Over Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Courtney Walker scored 17 points to lead No. 14 Texas A&M over Missouri 55-48 on Thursday.
The teams combined for just 12 points through the first six minutes of the game. Texas A&M (18-5, 6-3 SEC) went on an 8-2 run - with six from Walker - and led 28-21 at the break.
Missouri trimmed the deficit to three with 2:28 left on Juanita Robinson's jumper as the Aggies went over six minutes without a bucket. But Walker responded with a jumper, and Jordan Jones followed with a layup to push the lead back to seven with 1:15 left.
Walker was 8 of 18 from the floor and the Aggies were 0 of 3 from beyond the arc. Jones finished with 10 points.
Missouri (12-11, 2-8 SEC) was led by Jordan Frericks with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Maddie Stock had 12 points and Morgan Eye added 11.
Texas A&M returns to action on Sunday, February 8 at 2 p.m. at No. 17 Mississippi State, a game televised by SEC Network. The Aggies return home on Feb. 12 to host Arkansas at 8 p.m. on 12th Man Appreciation Night.

• Courtney Walker passed former Final Four MOP Danielle Adams (2009-11, 517) for eighth on A&M's career field goals made list. Walker now has 519 career field goals made.
• Walker scored in double figures for the fifth straight game and 19th time this season. She has 67 10+ point games in her career.
• Mizzou only led for :17 in the game. Texas A&M led for 36:33 of the 40 minutes
• Courtney Williams needs 36 more points to become the 27th Aggie with 1,000 career points.
• Jordan Jones needs 12 more assists to tie current video coordinator Sydney Colson for fifth on Texas A&M's career assist list.
• Jones scored in double figures for the 12th time this season and the 20th time in her career
• Chelsea Jennings scored eight points, her most points since having 10 on Dec. 31 against North Texas
• Gary Blair is now 690-277 in his career and 282-114 at Texas A&M. He needs 10 more wins to become the 15th head coach with 700 Division I wins
• Texas A&M is 18-5 overall and 6-3 in SEC play. Missouri is 12-11 overall and 2-8 in SEC play
