Went to bed by 11pm. Not too late.

Puppy got me up before 6am. He doesn't care that I took off today.

Got to visit with the neighbor's donkey. She is my buddy. The puppy doesn't like her just yet. She tolerates him.

Had a doe at the fence just stand their staring at us.

Need to pick up a prize from the radio station!

Glad we avoided the wind that houston got. My yard will have to continue to be a jungle.

Need to figure out if I'm brave enough to take down the remainder of the tree (~15-20' of bare trunk) by myself.

Pretty big hail / wind / rain storm blew thru the hill country last night. Climbing up on my roof this evening to see if it survived.

On FB I've seen several people in Houston area with trees and fences down, shingles in the yard, etc.

I'm thinking it was bigger than the hill country.

Houston definitely got hit a lot worse than we did. We have some downed trees, feeders flipped over, etc. but not like what Houston got.

My only concern is I have a shingle roof and this is probably the third hail storm in the last 2 years that it's been thru.

- Dealing with a f'ing mess today. Chainsawed most of it last night, so I just have to haul it out and dismantle the fence that came down
- had the forethought to put all my ice in the yeti for the fridge stuff we wanted to eat today.
- helping neighbors with their messes
- pets are finally not freaked out by no power

• I need a nap.
• 2 presentations today - first one is done, second one is in front of a couple of hundred or more people. Yay.
• Softball tourney in Rosenberg got canceled. Left with a non-refundable hotel room, so losing $$ there.
• Does give me more time to watch Aggie baseball and softball this weekend and get caught up on work.

Midway was settled by Swiss immigrants who still maintain the Swiss motif today. There is a Swiss flag at the alpine-styled city hall beside the US flag and the dairy industry is really big there. It's about a 15 minute drive from Park City.
That reservoir (Deer Creek) was at about 50% fill two years ago. Now it's about 90% full.

I still don't have electricity. I'm hoping it will come back by tomorrow morning.

Headed to Breck here in a few hours for the weekend.. It's been a minute since we've been out there!

- Headed to REI for who knows what.
- Stop by Eatzi's first for some lunch.
